CheckMyWork is a small homework helper run by one parent for their own family and a few friends. It is not a business. There are no ads, nothing is sold, and nothing is used to track you.
Who uses it
Parents create the account. Kids use the app under a parent's family, either on a parent's login or on their own login that a parent invited. Parents decide what kids can do and can remove them at any time.
What we keep
- Your email address and the name you choose. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from them, nothing else.
- Kids' first names and grade.
- Worksheet photos and files you add, how they were graded, and the walk-throughs and practice questions made from them.
- Practice progress, flags and questions asked about a step.
- If you connect a school Canvas account, the access token you paste, so the app can list class files.
- Counts of how much AI each family used, so we can keep costs down.
Settings like text size and voice speed stay on your device only.
Who helps run it
- Supabase stores the account, the data above and the photos.
- Vercel runs the website.
- Anthropic (the maker of Claude) reads worksheet photos and writes walk-throughs and practice. Anthropic doesn't use this to train its AI.
- Resend sends sign-in codes and family invites by email.
- Google and Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Canvas, only if you connect it, to list your kid's class files.
The read-aloud voice uses your phone or computer's built-in voice; nothing is sent anywhere for it.
Who can see it
Only people in your family. The person who runs the app can see each family's name, how many worksheets it has and its AI costs, to keep the app running, but doesn't look at your kids' work.
Deleting things
Anything you remove goes to the trash and is gone for good after 30 days, or sooner if you empty the trash. To delete your whole account, open ☰ → Settings → Delete my account. If you started the family, that removes all of its kids, worksheets and photos.
Questions
Ask the parent who invited you to the app.
